I've always been passionate about web development and web design. With my knowledge and experience of server side technologies like PHP, database systems such as MySQL and client side scripting with Javascript, I can make your website awesome. Whether you need a new design, optimization for search engines, additional site features or even a site from scratch, I can help you. I was even part of a team that built an award winning Facebook application!. I built this website myself from scratch — no templates, no frameworks just handcoded PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
I'm currently based in Edinburgh and available for work. I have contributed to a whole range of commercial sites, if you want to know more, take a look at my work.
Design
Skilled in using both Adobe Photoshop and Corel Paint Shop Pro I can design interface elements and layouts including blogs, e-commerce sites, web applications and portfolios. I'm not limited to web layouts though: I've made logos and illustrations as well.
Develop
I'm have experience in a large variety of programming languages and techniques including, but in no way limited to, PHP, Javascript, jQuery and AJAX. Additionally I have also written applications in Java, C and VB/VBA. I wrote all of the HTML, CSS, PHP and the majority of the JavaScript on this site myself
SEO
Recenty I have become increasingly involved with search engine optimisation. I am familiar with a variety of on-site optimisation and link-building techniques. I have written guides and best practice documents to educate others and can perform site audits and generate recommendations to improve SEO.
